Goodbye to Inspiration

Cautious words thrown to callous winds

The most delicate of suggestions

May cause the hardest sting

Romance with these novel ideas

Words given only to break the seal

Dancing on a string with a top hat and grin

Skipping rope as we all too shall float

Days turning pages that bring years of dismay

False love be hope that gets taken away

Feeble it be to reassemble broken people

Toy soldiers kneel to pray in closed steeples

Shelving cheer as no voice ever lingers

We medicate our love away

Making the dead point fingers

Just a ghost I be in this house

No home it be for a stomping mouse

How much I cry for you

Never will you see past those smiling truths

For my inspiration has gone forever

Never was or will be Miss Remember
